MISSION

Redefine information systems by combining data, AI, and process into a living reflection of reality.

VISION

Bring the power and visibility of manufacturing science to all data systems. Supercharge data driven research, processes, and AI.

OUR NAME

Biomatica is a portmanteau of Biologia and Mathematica.

This confluence of biology and mathematics works in two directions.

In one direction, we bring the precision of manufacturing science and computer science to biological industries. Our ambition is to model multiple interrelated echelons of the biological world. This is reflected in the industries we serve. Pharma works from the molecule to the organism level. Human performance bridges humans and machines such as medical devices. Climate change is an example of the scope of our environmental modeling.

In the other direction, we draw inspiration from biological systems and emergent properties to create better information systems. This is the level of innovation that is necessary to model the sophistication of the real world - to make data a 'living reflection of reality'.

Our name signifies the strength of our technology, and the inspiration from nature that made it possible.

OUR HISTORY

Data systems are broken.

Fragmented, opaque, and difficult to use -- they cannot keep pace with AI and modern corporate needs.

Biomatica aims to change this.

Our founder, Dr. Sameer Joshi, spent years working in data critical fields like healthcare, national defense, and finance. Both in the government and Fortune 500, he saw the constant struggle in getting data to do what it needed to. Crucial discoveries lay just out of reach, fragmented in data silos. Data systems are expensive and difficult to use, and yet never seem to have the right features. Decisions are made using AI and analytics, but the trustworthiness of the underlying data is rarely understood .

There is a better way. Data, process, and AI reflect reality. Thus, our data systems should be intuitive. They should handle real-world uncertainty, and quantify the trust for each datum, each insight. Our data systems should simply flow like the real world with unlabored flawlessness.

The methods and algorithms for Biomatica were created to implement this fundamental change in viewpoint. A crucial part of its vision is to combine manufacturing science with computer science. This innovation allows Biomatica to produce data as if on an assembly line, providing the full provenance for each datum, and reflecting the corporate processes.

Biomatica combines data, process, and  AI to reflect the larger reality. It has such high efficacy that it can be used for simulation.
